We Utilize Structured and Unstructured Activities
Structured and unstructured activities are important in any day care.
An example of a structured activity is when we gather to do a craft. The pieces of the craft must go together in a specific order and orientation for the end result to be correct. These activities help children to learn how to follow directions and listen to adults for instructions. Having a number of structured activities (more specifically, activities that are done at the same time each day) allows your child to get used to scheduling as well. It helps them learn how to discipline themselves and accomplish tasks in a certain period of time.
Unstructured activities include exercise activities, play time, and other blocks of time thoughout the day. These unstructured times allow the children to have FUN, use their creative minds, and try new things!
